Korea 22-29Jun 2008

I went Korea with my Family and nic. It was great quality time spent with family, good food, exciting theme park rides and entertaining tour guide who speaks fluent mandarin! Amazing time... If I did not remeber wrongly, the last time we went on a family trip with full attendance was in 2004 to the US.. it has been a long time... We spent 8days in Korea and visited quite a fair bit of places- Seoul, Muju,Jeanju, Daeju and Jeju etc... Eating, shopping, taking heaps of family photosThank you Mum and Dad for the trip! Fortunate. Blessed.

I am in love with Korean food! Let me start off with the food in Korea-It rocks! It feels great to be trying all the different kinds of food that we see in Korean Dramas... We were brimming with excitement during our every meal in Korea!

The moment we arrived in Incheon, Seoul, we headed straight to Everland Themepark. I felt like I was entering into a Fairytale world-cartoon-like palaces, colourful flowers, enthusiastic young workers in white jumper suit. We visited a 3D theatre(water splashing out of screen and rocking chairs during the film) , Safari (Bears performed simple stunns), Bumper car and a few roller coaster rides! Dad and Mum were enthu and brave! We all did the rides together, despite mum and I being the weakest amongst all=) The company was great!

Who's the Mermaid in the Pearl? =)

Visited a museum where Da Chang Jing Drama was filmed. The museum reflected the living condition of Koreans in the past. The houses were small. Even I had trouble entering...

Our Hotel at Muju. It has some Austrian flavour to it, very woody and colourful=)

My room

I thought that our tour guide was kidding when she said that we were doing Grass Sledding! Have never heard of that before! It took me quite long to pluck up enough courage for a roller-coaster ride down that steep slope. Mum took an even longer time=) Well Done! It was heaps of fun! Grass sledding can be dangerous when you shift your legs out of the plastic thing that you are sitting on. Someone in our group rolled a few meters down the slope when she straighten her legs as she was sliding down...

Our dear tour guide Judy was fabulous, humourous, cute, entertaining and meticulous. She told us so much about Samsung, Korea's soccer team and all the different car companies in Korea. She could talk on and on and on............

Here's a picture of our personal photographer through our whole trip. Thank you for capturing all our smiles in all the family photos we took and also of the nice sceneries=)

Nicolas: Dont forget what you said to my mum when we saw this craving on the stone wall!!! kekeke.. will remember it forever and ever....

haha... my dear little sister attempting to retrieve chewing gum! haha.. so funny, we have not played this in a long while=) 10 Secs of fun and childhood=)

Little fishes nibbling off dead skin on ya legs! It was very itchy initially but it got better.. I got a whole school of fish surrounding my feet when I was the only one with my legs submerged the in pond=)

Shopping! Chop chop currli pok!

The hike up to the summit to see an inactive crater almost took our lives. The view was not spectacular but we needed the exercise anyway, from all the yummy Korean food.

First time on the ATV Motor car! I got a fast and scary ride from a pro-guy who pillioned me! Hell of an experience! Scream!

Teddy bare museum was cute! They had so much cute stuff! Berlin wall, LV bears, Bears in a fashion road show etc...

Nami Island- This row of trees are the highlight! Winter Sonata, a famous korean drama serila which I did not watch, was filmed here! It was pretty nice=)

LOTTE WORLD ADVENTURE! This theme park was breadth-taking because Stairways to Heaven (Korean Drama) was filmed here and I watched it!! This may sound dumb, but being there to see and touch things which were filmed during the drama feels great! It is like realising a dream! I never had a dream come through..... haha.. excitment filled the air as we WITNESSED the ice-skating ring, the rides, the couple necklace etc...

This poster was worth taking a photo with! The main cute lead actor in the Drama!!

The hotel room was CRAZY!!!Look at all the funky and cute stuff! I felt like a child all over again! Freaking nice! The soft toys, floormat, toilet paper holder, bed, menu and toilet curtains!

I love my sister!! haha..
Kimchi making session! As the lady was giving us instructions on what we should do, it was amazing to see how the ADULTS started fidgeting with the cabbage and chilli while we(the younger generation) stand in attention, listening attentively! haha..

The korean palace- It looked very chinese=) Big! Lost.

Love me.. Love me not..

One of the hotels we stayed in=)
