Heidelberg, Wiesbaden

Heidelberg was the center of the epoch of "Romantik" (Romanticism) in Germany. There was a famous circle of poets. A famous relic of Romanticism is the Philosophers' Walk (Philosophenweg), a scenic walking path on the nearby Heiligenberg, overlooking Heidelberg.

The University of Heidelberg, the old town and the Heidelberg castle are the highlight of the town. Heidelberg is one of my favourite towns! The castle and architecture there appeal to me greatly! The castle is a mix of styles from Gothic to Renaissance. It is a joy to just slack at the cafes with coffee, cake and ice cream! Simply a slice of heaven and paradise!

All the pictures of castles are of the Heidelberg castle.

It was a coincidence that we bumped into 2 friends from Singapore- Ian and Markus=)!

Here's a casino of Wiesbaden. It did not looked like it was open when we were there.

Beside the casino was an open-air screening for soccer. There were heaps of people and we could hardly make our way in.

We made our way here to watch soccer for awhile until it got too warm. I could hardly see anything from the back! We proceeded to a cafe soon after. So much for wanting to watch soccer!

Victory coupled with noise pollution. Without fail.
