Valencia, Spain

The world famous Spanish dish paella originated around Valencia. The city contains a dense monumental heritage (including the Lonja de la Seda, but its landmark is undoubtedly the City of Arts and Sciences an avant-garde and futuristic museum complex.

The Turia River was diverted in the 1960s, after severe flooding, and the old river bed is now the Turia gardens, which contain a children’s playground, a fountain, and sports fields. The Palau de la Música is adjacent to the Turia gardens and the City of Arts and Sciences lies at one end.

The Placa de la Verge contains the Basilica of the Virgin and the Turia fountain, and is a popular spot for locals and tourists. Around the corner is the Plaça de la Reina, with the Cathedral, orange trees, and many bars and restaurants.

Informative walking and Tapas tour =)

A one metre by ten metre house soaring towards the sky! Nicer version of HDB flats? =)

Camilo!

The largest square is the Placa de l'Ajuntamen which contains the town hall (ajuntament), a cinema which shows classic movies (La Filmoteca), and many restaurants and bars. This is where the noisy fireworks of the mascletà can be heard every afternoon during the Las Fallas.

A Veg/Fruit and Meat market! Schinken(Ham), Olives, Olive oil, cheese, Wine and Sangria(a fruit wine) is a BIG thing in Spain =)

A cute tiny cat hole, which has the height of my knee!

Pretty Graffiti!

Cute trolleys that they have! We dun have that in Germany!

Lileng you are missed! =) Have i got the talent for dancing? =) I am gonna pick up Guitar at NUS next sem! Discovering the other side of me! =)

Aint the architecture here simply modern, futuristic and esplanade-alike? =) I love it here! Blue waters, sunny weather and cool architectures!

Valencia was nice! Roamed the old and futuristic part of the city, the park with mountain of music, lying on the sunny beaches with naked babes (dont drool guys out there), shopping, good food, nice accom with swimming pool and buffet breakfast! What an enjoyment!

Enjoyment is only real when shared.

An important attitude is needed for travelling. Some people travel with great stress, rushing from one place to another, continue travelling even when they have reached saturation and this totally defeats the purpose to travelling and being out there! There is no need to rush through things.
