"Do you Mike?" was a repitative qn when I told people that I was from Singapore at Badminton sessions. For the first time, I remembered a person's name even before meeting him! haha.. He is a legendary Badminton player from Singapore who is now working in Munich.
Meeting him was nice. He asked if i wanted to take part in an asian-organised Badminton Competition at the end of May. He invited me to Mannheim for their training and get-tohether session over the recent long weekend. Thank you for the invitation. It was important for me. I had great fun playing Badminton 5-6hrs consecutively 2 days in a row with great meals after each training sessions.
This trip re-ignited my burning passion for badminton, allowed me to meet many nice people who loved the sport, brought about many great games, allowed me to improve tremendously and regain my form and stamina....
Lina, me, Dan Dan and Mike in Mannheim. Lina is from Indo and i met her in Mannheim. It was very nice pairing with her for doubles. She lauches a rocket when she smashes and she enjoys partnering me also. Great partnership there.
I got to know Dan Dan and Mike for barely a week but he hit off pretty well... I trained Dan Dan alittle in Mannheim when i was taking breaks and it was really enjoyable coz she learns fast, improved tremendously and most importantly, she is very keen and enthusiastic on learning. Passion for something brings you a long way!
I really dont mind helping people out with Badminton. It is something i really enjoy and it should be shared especially if people are keen on learning. Happiness is only real when shared! Badminton has brought me heaps of joy and i want it to also have a multiplying effect on other people's life. I am gonna make more effort to take part in more Badminton related stuff i Spore!
